MANICAINBETWEEN - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

"Manica" is Sinhala (spoken in Sri Lanka) for "Precious“ or can simply be used as a term of endearment:

"(Mage = [my]) Manica“ = my TREASURE, my JEWEL, my PRECIOUSNESS, my DARLING, my GEM, ....

"In Between" stands symbolic for balance, wisdom, and peace. It refers to the space between thoughts, and to products between consumer goods and artworks.

SEASHELLS - GEMS AND CRYSTALS FROM THE SEA

Gems and crystals affect us through their individual vibrations, just as seashells do. Most of us know this feeling, when we walk along the beach and intuitively pick up a few of the shells, take a closer look and let ourselves be impressed by their shapes, structures and colors. Their healing vibrations affect us through their natural perfectly shaped bodies (Golden Spiral, Fibonacci) and color harmonies, that lead the flow of energy surrounding us, just as gems and crystals do.

Crystal healing is known as an alternative medical technique. Many believe that the history of this ancient practice is dating back to the time of the Sumerians of Mesopotamia. The Egyptians are believed as being among the first people to have adorned themselves with crystals to ward off illness and negative energy. The first people, that used seashells as a system of healing, are believed to be the Hawaiian Mystics, called The Kahuna. It is said, that with seashells we can reconnect with the ancient knowledge from the times of Lemuria and Atlantis, where seashells were key tools for transformation and magical, co-creative manifesting.

The concept of energy healing is based on the beliefe, that the mind, body and soul of a person are all interconnected, which means that the physical body cannot be healed without healing the spirit of a person. While knowledge about the healing power of gemstones and crystals is widely spread nowadays, the knowledge about the healing properties of seashells is not widespread.

SEASHELLS - THE SOUL HEALERS

Every single seashell is incredibly special and unique, having a crucial role in healing our planet with their energies, frequencies and vibrations. We, as part of Mother Earth, can benefit from these gifts from the sea and their exceptional healing powers as well. Seashells are believed to be able to harness and enhance energies with their size, shape, form, structure and color, and are therefore used, for example, in special Reiki healing sessions.

They help us to untangle energies of stagnation, while expanding consciousness and personal empowerment. Where shells in the shape of a spiral tend to create change and increase energy, shells with radiant lines, such as scallops, are said to help with clearing energy blockages. Thus, they help us to cleanse, balance and harmonize our aura and our chakras, meaning our energy field, to bring healing to our spiritual body.

Not only the unique shapes, colors, and textures speak of the significant influences of their vibrational frequencies, also the elemental influences they have been subjected to during their growth and life cycle, eternalize their energies in the offerings from the ocean.

ELEMENTS - THE POWERS OF WATER AND FIRE

The naturally grown shells come with pure energies of water and sun. As a physical part of the ocean, they have been born and grown within its depths, until they were washed up by the waves onto the shore, where they naturally dried in the burning fire of the sun, before being handpicked from among an abundance of shells.

Water is life and known for its nurturing and healing effects on us. That water is a storage for information is beautifully shown in the studies of Masaru Emoto, that deserve acknowledgment, as well as further attention and evaluation. Our seas are furthermore filled with cleansing and healing sea salt, and plenty of precious and nourishing minerals, which impressive effects we can perceive, for example, when bathing in the sea on a hangover day.

The burning sun at the center in the solar system of our planet Earth is, in the proper dose, just as important to life as we know it, as water. We all know the uplifting feeling from bathing in the light of the sun. Based on numerous studies, nowadays we know that sunlight stimulates the release of the hormone Vitamin D in our bodies, which is directly connected to our mood, energy level and overall health.

By nature's law, everything has a vibration. Therefore, it is so important to surround ourselves with pure and natural energies, materials and nature itself, as we ourselves are a part of it. From an energetic point of view, we should therefore also devote our attention to one of the basic metals in alchemy and one of the most precious metals on earth: Silver.

Now find out how to dance to the natural rhythm of life in PART 5/5. →

SILVER - OR HOW TO DANCE

Silver represents purity, clarity and vision. It is associated with the moon and influenced by the ebb and flow of the tides. It symbolizes feminine energy, emotions and sensitivity, as well as patience and perseverance.

Thought to be a mirror of the soul, silver helps us to see ourselves and others objectively. It helps to reflect negative energies away from us, so that we can better focus on our true selves, and the things in life that truly matter.

As the metal is very versatile and strong, yet malleable, it can withstand abuse, weathering, even heat, which makes it a symbol of subtle strength. Thus, it also shows to the soul, that we ourselves can be flexible enough to be molded into something higher, yet strong enough to maintain our core integrity, and supports us to understand and appreciate the lessons life brings our way.

This is how Silver reminds our souls to dance with the natural rhythms, so that we can be in tune with the flow of life.
